Gold Coast Transit District (GCTD) provides public fixed-route and paratransit service in the cities of Ojai, Oxnard, Port Hueneme, Ventura and the unincorporated areas of Western Ventura County on California’s South-Central Coast.
The goal of this project is to directly mitigate climate change impacts and to benefit GCTD’s community by replacing GHG emitting CNG buses with zero emission Hydrogen Fuel Cell Electric Buses (FCEBs). This project supports the City of Oxnard’s Climate Action & Adaptation Plan. GCTD is in compliance with and committed to meeting all requirements of California’s Innovative Clean Transit (ICT) Regulation, which requires transit agencies in California to fully transition their fleets to zero-emission vehicles by 2040. Gold Coast Transit District is issuing this Request for Proposals No. 23-38 (RFP) seeking Proposals from qualified individuals or firms to provide design-build-operate-maintain services for a turnkey hydrogen fueling station whereby the intent is for (i) a single contract to be awarded to the selected Proposer for all design and construction activities, and maintenance and operations services for three years with two option year periods, and (ii) a separate fuel supply contract to be awarded to the same entity or to an entity proposed by the selected Proposer for three years with two, one (1) year option periods.
